Robin Smith Martin
CPA
Robin was born in Gladwin, MI, and resided there until the age of 4, her family then traveled for some time returning to Gladwin in 1981. Robin is a Beaverton resident with her husband of over 15 years and they have four children and eight grandchildren. Robin graduated from Gladwin High School in 1983 and then attended Central Michigan University where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting. After college, Robin opened her own accounting business, Smith & Associates, CPA in the spring of 1996. Where she has been in business for more than 25 years. After being in business for 8 years, Robin opened her second location in Grayling, MI, in December 2005. Which led to a third office location in Standish, MI, in October 2008. Many years of those three office locations led her to our newest location in Lake City, MI. Robin likes to be very involved in our local community and its events including many sponsorships, like the 4th of July Parade, Gladwin and Midland County 4H, BYRP, and more! Robin is an avid community member and looks forward to servicing our local accounting needs.
Emily Smith
Accountant
Emily was born and raised in Coleman, MI, and currently resides in Beaverton with her boyfriend and their two dogs. Emily began working for Smith & Associates in 2013 as a high school co-op. After high school, Emily attended Delta College for her associate degree in accounting. From there, Emily transferred to Central Michigan University where she completed her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2019 while continuing to work for Smith & Associates. Emily plans to sit for the CPA Exams this year to become fully certified as a public accountant. Some of her hobbies include traveling, spending time with family and friends, playing pickleball, golf, and shopping. Her favorite thing about her job is working with her clients and serving our community.
Jamie Malicki
Accountant
Jamie was born in Rolla, Missouri, and moved to Oklahoma and then Florida with her family. She graduated from Milton High School in Milton, FL. After high school, she attended college where she studied Accounting and Business Management. She started her family before she completed her studies and spent 22 years in the hospitality industry. After her time in the hospitality industry, she realized it was time for her to find her way back to accounting. She began working for Smith & Associates in the Lake City office in September 2020. She looks forward to working with local clients and her community.
Lori Clark
Accountant
Lori was born and raised in Marion, Mi where she resides to this day. Lori is married and has two fur babies. Lori and her husband enjoy camping, going to rock concerts, and traveling with their friends. Lori attended Mid-Michigan Community College in Harrison right after she graduated from high school. Lori received her associate degree in accounting and began working at Mercy Hospital – Cadillac. During her employment there she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting at Baker College in Cadillac. Lori has worked in the accounting field for 35 years, during that time she has worked in accounts payable, payroll, general accounting, financial accounting, and budgeting. Lori has been with Smith & Associates for 4 years working on payroll, accounting, and taxes. She looks forward to continuing to serve her clients’ needs.
