Robin Smith Martin
CPA
Robin was born in Gladwin, MI, and resided there until the age of 4, her family then traveled for some time returning to Gladwin in 1981. Robin is a Beaverton resident with her husband of over 15 years and they have four children and eight grandchildren. Robin graduated from Gladwin High School in 1983 and then attended Central Michigan University where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting. After college, Robin opened her own accounting business, Smith & Associates, CPA in the spring of 1996. Where she has been in business for more than 25 years. After being in business for 8 years, Robin opened her second location in Grayling, MI, in December 2005. Which led to a third office location in Standish, MI, in October 2008. Many years of those three office locations led her to our newest location in Lake City, MI. Robin likes to be very involved in our local community and its events including many sponsorships, like the 4th of July Parade, Gladwin and Midland County 4H, BYRP, and more! Robin is an avid community member and looks forward to servicing our local accounting needs.
Taylor Eaton
Accountant
Taylor has worked at Smith & Associates for 15 years and has been a member of Beaverton most of her life. She is a mom of two daughters and enjoys supporting her children in sports, volunteering in the community, and actively attending Beaverton Area Business Association events and meetings. Taylor works in both the Beaverton and Grayling office locations. She has completed courses through Central Michigan University as well as the Michigan Tax & Accounting Professionals education system. Taylor will also be completing her Enrolled Agent in the very near future. She looks forward to serving both locations and clients.
Jennifer Tucker
Accountant - CPA
Jennifer resides in Harrison, MI, with her husband and children. She attended Northwood University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting major. She has over 20 years of experience in the accounting industry. Jennifer enjoys watching her daughter perform in both band and dance, and watching her sons play baseball and drag race. She also enjoys camping and spending time at the lake. Jennifer looks forward to serving our clients and community.
Stacey Welke
Administrative Assistant
Stacey was born and raised in Gladwin, MI, and currently lives in Beaverton with her husband of over 12 years. They have 4 children, Trisha, Mitchel, Makenzie, and Mason. Along with two granddaughters Lizzie and Brynn. Stacey has attended Mid-Michigan Community College and Kirtland Community College, concentrating in business classes. Stacey was hired into Smith & Associates in September of 2016 and works part-time as a waitress at the Beaverton Tavern. Stacey is an active volunteer for the 4th of July parade festivities and enjoys working with the public. She looks forward to serving our clients and our community.
Cari Jefferson
Administrative Assistant
Cari was born and raised in Beaverton, MI, graduating from Beaverton High School. She moved to Laurel, Maryland and raised two children, moving back to Michigan in 2011 to be closer to her family and long-time friends. She has worked for over 30 years in business administration including the Federal Highway Administration and private sector companies. She has been active in local politics and various volunteer activities such as the 4th of July parade in Beaverton and being Match Coordinator for the Tobacco River Muzzleloaders Territorial Shoot each August. Cari has the ability to juggle many tasks at one time and knows how to get the job done efficiently and on time.
